Job description
Responsible for sample preparation and testing on ICP-MS / GC-MS / HPLC instruments, completing restricted substance and VOC projects. Requirements: chemistry, analytical chemistry related major; familiarity with IEC 62321 or VDA methods preferred.
Job responsibilities
- Handle sample preparation and test execution on ICP-MS, ICP-OES, GC-MS, HPLC and other instruments
- Complete projects covering restricted substances, REACH SVHC, phthalates, VOC and formaldehyde
- Operate per method standards such as IEC 62321, VDA 277, VDA 278 and EN 71-3
- Prepare standard solutions, verify calibration curves, run spike recoveries and manage QC samples
- Record raw spectra and data to keep the whole process traceable
Requirements
- Degree (associate or above) in chemistry, analytical chemistry or applied chemistry
- 1+ years of chemistry laboratory experience, familiar with sample preparation such as microwave digestion and Soxhlet extraction
- Understand detection limits, recovery and precision, not just follow procedures
- Method validation experience within the CNAS system preferred
Preferred qualifications
- Familiar with VDA 277 / 278 in-cabin odor and VOC methods
- Food contact material testing experience
- Able to perform method development and validation independently
