A Testing Body That Turns "Trust" into Service

A few people and three lab benches, with mostly second-hand equipment. With no big orders, we took on the failure reproduction work others wouldn't touch — dismantling a burnt power board until we could explain why it failed was what counted as delivery complete.

For this one certificate, the quality system documents were revised version after version, and proficiency testing rounds followed one after another. Every question raised in assessment was treated as a free health check; on the day accreditation was granted, no one in the laboratory celebrated — everyone was catching up on tests left unfinished during the day.

From groundbreaking to acceptance, the team shuttled between Shenzhen and the construction site. Before delivering the first automotive EMC report, the chamber floor was redone — the grounding resistance didn't meet spec, and no one dared to sign.

There are no shortcuts in the craft of wire harnesses. A terminal crimp cross-section must be examined over and over under the microscope before a conclusion can be made. The reason clients come back is precisely this "visible cross-section."

When orders stalled during the pandemic months, the team turned the downtime into construction time: overseeing construction by day and writing quality system documents by night, expanding the laboratory to 3200 ㎡. We saved wherever we could — except on equipment and calibration. If the data gets watered down, all the years before are wasted.

LAB CODE 4707-01. To make North American clients trust a report from a Chinese laboratory, we compiled each instrument's capability range, measurement uncertainty and staff comparison records into English documents, page by page, until they stopped asking questions.

The client was in Chongqing and the engineers in Shenzhen — the most practical challenge at the time. We made remote witnessing a standard practice: cameras pointed at the test bench, clients watching their samples bent and pulled apart from a thousand kilometers away.

Once both regions started operating in parallel, scheduling was no longer one person's call. We didn't make report speed our selling point; instead, we went back and reviewed the retesting process again — speed must be built on data that holds up.
